Did you know that Redeemed Goods is a ministry business of Open Arms Mission? When clients come in to the Mission Centre and are in need of household goods or clothing because of a crisis, they can talk to Pastor Jeff about getting a voucher to be used at Redeemed Goods. Vouchers are issued on a case by case basis. After the Mission Centre client gets their voucher, they can bring it to Redeemed Goods and use it for clothing, kitchen items like pots and pans, furniture or whatever else they need free of charge.

Through this program, we've been able to help single moms setting up new apartments for themselves and their children, refugees who have arrived in Canada with nothing, people who have had house fires and many others who find themselves in need.

Right now, are biggest needs are kitchen appliances (like coffee makers and crockpots) and pots and pans. Do you have any of these items that could help a family in need? If you, please drop them off at our store or at our warehouse (Open Arms Mission Ministry Campus 933 Forks Road West, Welland, ON L0S 1V0).

Coldest Night of the Year

Posted Mar 6th, 2017

We were the rest stop for the Coldest Night of the Year walk on February 25. There were 29 teams from all areas of Welland, churches, businesses, schools, community groups, city councillors and families. The teams stopped by the store for hot drinks, cookies and cactus cut fries donated by Boston Pizza. Coldest Night of the Year is a nationwide event to help the hungry, homeless and hurting. In Welland, the walk raised more than $26,000 for Open Arms Mission. We were happy to be part of this great event and to be part of this great organization that helps so many people in our community.
